I don't really see what bones have in common with the 70's , 80's sci-fi, also looks randomly place, the white text bubble and the black text are out of place, you should not be adding any swear words either. It looks decent but could use a lot more refining.
Well, I'm making right now a platform game for a youtuber that will give us views and everything, this platformer will be complete very soon, so we can star with the Prime project (Survival), we haven't started, but we have 70% (20Min) of the Original Sountrack, and a lot of people ready for work with. Would you like to…
More blockouts A little bit more work later, I have a pretty much finished blockout. Looking about 60-70 assets in the scene, so plenty work to keep me busy here. Production shall be starting in earnest next week so long as I've not missed anything in my pre-production.
Wasn't sure what to do with the beige terminal thing, wasted a day going in the wrong direction and decided on something more 70's/80's retrofuture, which I like more. Barely into the diff/spec stage with it this, haven't done wear or labels/symbols/screen yet, but I wanted to at least post something tonight.
For the last 4months at least 60hours a week, for the last month 70+ which will continue for the next 5 and a half weeks :/ Although really only this last month has really been stressed that we put in the time and is never required. Normally is like 45 to 50 and thats just because I want to put in the extra time.
I agree that there are plenty of variables that keep the price point where it is, and surely consumer expectation is one of them. My point is mainly that gamers typically want even lower prices and if you raised the price to $70-80 for some of these high budget AAA games that require massive profit to be considered a…
Thanks your kind words everyone! @Prime8: Yes, it still needs work on it, was thinking of doing its bandagey texture in substance painter instead of zbrush. @GravityBwlast: Clothing matcap is called fastshader (its a default matcap) with about 70% black applied. I stumbled upon it a while ago, its very handy for clothes!
Since this is a topic about n-gons, can someone tell me which topology is best (for games)? A: 37 Polygons, 70 Triangles, 37 Verts B: 26 Polygons, 68 Triangles, 36 verts C: 32 Polygons, 68 Triangles, 36 verts D: 35 Polygons, 68 Triangles, 32 verts
normal maps = no gameplay. you have tons of GB and 70€ software to play 5hours. in the hexan example cmon at least it was challenging... quake takes like weeks to finish. not to mention ps one\two games... i think after that the game market is just plain interest whit EA´s and suchs.. but thats another thread ^^
@Cremuss Thanks man, I'm doing about 70-80% of the painting in 3D coat, and the last touches in Photoshop. It's hard to beat painting directly on the model for establishing light direction and value control not to mention seams etc. I generally use 8 bit maps for painting, so the transition between 3D Coat and PS is not a…
