Thanks, guys. Finally I have something to show. 4100 tris. Texture is very rough by now, and I'm trying to figure out how to use colors in a more vivid way than they are at moment. Crits, tips and tricks are welcome. -

The only Dell I have ever owned is a Dell Inspiron 4100 laptop and it has been a peach. Other than the blown internal speaker (my fault) and the DVD-ROM drive finally failing (after about 3-4 years...) I have had not a single problem with it. I have put os's on and off and back on again, repartitioned the drive in a number… -

that error happens with the 3.9.2.41613 (for x86)? HAd some hosting problems and there was a corrupted 3.9.2.xxx version for 10mins that you were able to download... so sure the build is 41613, that's the correct one. -
Re: Uv mapping hands?
I think when I was working on the hands for No More Room In Hell, we just cylidner mapped each finger, detached from the palm. If you do pelt mapping, you can run the seam along the edge of the finger that isn't most visible on screen (assuming the hands are for an FPS). http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/4145/handqe3.jpg… -

I never really intended to put a normal map on it, I just wanted to show my teacher they were unnecessary on this model, especially not after I painted in the shadows, thanks for the input though, all valid points.
