If you get technical, then it can be a bit of both. Before Switch, Nintendo handhelds were fundamentally weak and couldn't handle the same game engines used on consoles/PC, so we did see a lot more games that intentionally went with a low poly artstyle. But now that they caught up to PS4/XB1 (although still being weaker…
I have two things to say. The texture itself, while good, looked better all clean. Your scratches are too noisy. It really brings down the quality of the texture. I would go back and try to be more logical with your damage and weathering. The second thing would have to be the pose you currently have. It doesn't make much…
Thanks for the suggestion! I think your right that the specific blue is universal. Ill put that on my list of things to mess with :D I have seen the callback errors before and I think they're very cool. The magnetised tv's look very trippy! Sadly I dont think it will be around for many more years though because we are…
i remember this one time when we were picking a new roommate and there was this one guy who said he would bring his nintendo wii so we picked him. when we asked him later about his wii he always told us that basically his little cousin is playing on his wii all the time now and has been buying his own games for it and…
[ QUOTE ] Multiplatform? I have my doubts. What does that mean for them in terms of extra developement costs? Their games already take 4 - 6 years to make for a single platform. [/ QUOTE ] 5 years working on a game for a single audience. 6 years working on a game for two audiences. Simple. They've already ditched the PS2…
Im thinking you love game development and graphics and when a company flat out lies just to sell more units it bothers you ..maybe that's why your not so fond of a former employer huh ? Personally I like Nintendo's approach . They new they couldn't up the ante with graphics so they went with game play and it seems to be…
There's even DS-specific homebrew stuff. The GBA is too weak for a SNES or higher, the DS can handle a lot more. AFAIK there's a fairly usable Linux implementation for the DS. There's both a CF and a SD videoplayer for the GBA, the SD one is officially made by Nintendo and can even do MPEG4. I think it uses an on-cart…
So I've been working on this for a few months. She's my third human character and by far the most complicated thing I've ever attempted. Also my first time trying out Unreal Engine 4, so the lighting isn't very complex. She does have SSS maps though. A few people have commented that there's something "off" about the face,…
Nice job! What is the intended use of the model? Is it built for real-time use, as in a game? Or is it built with film effects in mind? If for realtime, I would recommend not using a Boolean for the front lower bolt hole, since that creates long thin triangles. It would be better to use a texture for a detail like this.
You're missing the point. Permission does not have to be explicitly granted, it has to be explicitly withheld. If the IP holder does nothing you can copy and sell their design as much as you like. Cases are considered individually and precedence is taken into account when there's a dispute - which is where the grey comes…
