Not THAT difficult if you meet the requirements issued by NAFTA. I'm working on a Mental ray animation at the moment, it's not particular heavy on render settings and takes about 15 minutes per frame for 3 passes. (You'd want far more passes for a professional piece, probably 20 +) So if you rendered mine for a 1hr 45m film on my very heavily overclocked i7 it would take roughly 1575… -
