Near the end of the SF data in the shader, it says: proporder:2-1037-1306-533-447-69-9-177-571-626-145-476 Remove -476 from that list, and it should work again. This is due to a bug that was in 0.29, in which you saved the shader, most likely

Yea, it sounds like if you're still having playback issues at a bitrate of 3100 something else is going on. Conversely, have you tried just uploading your video to a service like Vimeo (which offers a 720p version) and letting them do the video conversion / hosting? Can you post a file?
If you count total Nikon lenses that may be true, however; many Nikon AF lenses will not work on the low end Nikon bodies, so even if Nikon has 10% total more lenses than Canon, if you can't use 70% of them on your 3100/5100, its sort of a moot point. =P
