I would say the games industry is turbulent due to Global Events and the huge shifts of uncertanty post Covid. On top of this Seasonal Trends and so many different Technology Shifts going on. We don't see how many of them got employed elsewhere in that - which is a bit of a shame. Personal experience suggests that you're probably not far off the mark - at least in the sense that large companies that expanded too fast between 2020 and 2023 are shrinking back to a sustainable size. -
