@cjpeg like i said, i am not a modo user, but i think features like MeshFusion attracts people, with traditional modeling, making some complex shapes can be cumborsome sometimes. Watch a short video about meshfusion. It is really cool. Also zbrush’s dynamesh feature can help with that complex shapes and boolean operations.
That is a bleak video. Kinda common sense but still very bleak. I'm surprised things are that bad and so many people are basically hoodwinked into these places. Caveat emptor and all that, but it's pretty bad there isn't at least some legislation to control these 'schools' a bit more and make them clearly un-attractive and…
Thanks! I agree completely on the navigation issues you mentioned. Usually, I'm all about simplicity so I don't know how I ended up with a confusing menu. I'm taking a minimalistic approach in the version I'm currently working on right now. What pieces attracted you the most and which the least?
The point @JacqueChoi was making is that you'd need pieces of work like that currently on your portfolio to attract a job. Not necessarily those specific items, but just projects to that quality. If you mean a fulltime job outside of the industry: you wont have time. If you mean in the industry: you wont be getting a job…
I really like your dino character its really cute. the red bow tie draws your eye to the centre of the character, but I feel it should not be the attention point. You should try to get his face more saturated to attract the eye to it. I think it will balance it better. Keep up the good work. Loving it :)
It does attract to much attention indeed, i shall get rid of it asap. Window is proving to be a bit tricky, i'll do as you say and play around with settings. I also think its about time i start playing around with Post process effects, because currently there are none in the scene. Hopefully that should enhance it :)
@igi thanks! @low odor I guess the light hasnt gone on for me yet. What I see is a mid poly with the possibility of baking in Modo only because of the rounded shader,.... er would that make me a real artist? I am guessing as polycounts go up for engines that this technique will become more attractive.
To be fair, the fact that Quake Live only appeared on Steam after a couple years of its lifespan AND still costs 9.99 is probably at least partly to blame for the low player base, isn't it ? That and the garish look (arguably worse than the 99 original) really doesn't make for an attractive product ... Can't wait to see…
I really like how the shoulder plates and the top came out! i don't find the back piece all that attractive though. The curvature you find in her armor and clothes is lost in the back pack, so I just don't feel it fits well at all. That's just my opinion though. Great quality Heat3D!
Love the first image, the "2D" like in the game. I remember to play this game when I was younger  The reinterpretation you did of the brain is really good, it keeps the 2D essence. My only suggestion is, as it was said above, to light up the brain because right now the tubes are attracting the attention. Hope to…
