Really nice work, I also agree about the handles, I kind of like the molten lava on the axe, it looks really nice and is a great stylish choice even though it's not realistic, but as shrew81 said, fighting dragons with a realistic axe ain't realistic either. =P -

Good stuff going on this thread. Good discussion. My one comment, is that I see too much pinch tool, or pinch tool like brushes. They almost never make realistic forms, because they create an accelerating curve into the crease, meaning that where edges meet tends to look artificial, So outside of very specific use cases,… -
