hey i was wondering if anyone had any artwork thats similar to the rpg maker 2000/2003 chip/tilesets. i really like that style of pixel art and was wondering if anyone had anything that would be similar to it. the colors are awesome imo.
Not trying to cause trouble, I can't remember the teacher's name, I think it was Mike - this was back in 2002-2003. I'd feel irresponsible if I didn't mention the paycheck thing - It was when they were working on a Hot Wheels game that got canned.
it's not public i'm afraid, they're just ironing out bugs. Shouldn't take long till release i hope. They have a free 30 day trial version for modo 103 and i'm sure they'll have the same for modo 201
Cool script, will certainly try it out while modeling later to see if this can actually save time. I've got it bound to my third side mouse button (logitech G500,) and I prefer the animation on, set to all the fastest settings with 0.3 selection zoom, what about you folks?
I remember a while ago I read somewhere that they were going to do a full rewrite of the next iteration of the unreal engine and that wouldnt be released till like 2014 or so .Either way I look forward to this .I got my start playing unreal tournament 2003.Great game .
Hey there, So I have fair amount of time free at the moment so I'm taking the opportunity to boost my portfolio and improve my 3d skills. I'm going to create Tye n' Rex aiming for 10, 000 tris and 2x1024 textures. Since I'm making this for my folio any crits would be great. No part of the design is final...
looks great not sure how you would bake that fluffy collar, maybe try sculpting something more bake friendly like this guy has http://th00.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2013/004/d/2/arenanet_art_test_05_by_nelyia-d5qfrzo.jpg
For a 007 style sequence I would simply render 3d models out as silhouettes. Other shapes can be done using Masks in AE. They may well have done their silhouettes with hand drawn rotoscoping, but that is a major investment of time compared to the above.
I like sculptris :) the performance is pretty good for me, this head is about 500 000 triangles pulled straight out the default sphere and doesnt feel slow at all, just been using this piece to try all the features and Im quite impressed.
