This is my second champion Im considering working on, redo-ing the Exiled Morgana splash screen. I really love the lore behind Morgana, and wanted to portray her hurt/anger/disdain from being exiled. But just found out that this skin is going into the legacy vault so I haven't fully decided to go ahead with this yet. Here…
Doodled up some quick unreal prop ideas in sketchup whilst looking at some warhammer scenery Started working on a male basemesh from digmon style/proportioned characters :) Quick A3 observation of rapide http://images.xboxfrance.com/7/5024/artwork/zoom/5404.jpg done in pencil copic caio markers and ballpoint pen :)
This is "the beast" This is a first sketch i really like. It is painted on a computer, with 2B pencil in Corel painter. So i will texture and sculpt a model based on this drawing. His eyes will make stronger impact than current draw, when textured. Overall impression? fell free to comment, i would really like to shear you…
i just graduated from Art Institute of Pittsburgh and i can tell you ive had classes with some people that cant draw shhhhhhh1t. but, can model characters pretty well, is it because its easier to move a vert or a poly than a pencil on paper i have no idea...but yea practice and drive is everything.
It doesn't matter how you make the pictures - we have people scanning pencil drawings where I work and it's not a problem. However, Using 3d and getting stuff in game means you have a much better idea of what your work looks like from the player's perspective so you're more likely to turn out better work and you'd be…
"Slightly-larger-than-a4" doesn't seem like much until you're jamming it into your shelf sideways because it won't fit upright :P But yeah if you've got the space or are willing to upgrade then go for it. Otherwise, in my opinion the extra fine pencil detail doesn't add a lot of educational value to the book so it'll serve…
Np Slave_zero :D ErichWK: Same here! I've been dying to try it ever since seeing syosa's work but it's just like "where to begin"? It really is best to just jump in and have a go though, you might surprise yourself :D I use the pencil tool in photoshop :) (she says like she's done more than one piece of pixel art :'D)
1) Yes. 2) Take foundational fine art courses, or observe what they go through at universities for said cirriculum. Still life drawing. Figure drawing. Design Foundations. Basic painting. 3) Photoshop and/or PureRef 4) Carpal Tunnel. Lack of wrist excercise or excercise in general. Tablet at a bad angle. Do you get wrsit…
Nice,I am sorta in the same situation however I'm trying to draw it with pencil and am currently looking into learning how to create different facial expressions, have you studied that? This sculpture reminds me of that one character from Lost, only thing that looks awkward to me is tones in the nose from the front view,…
Yeah, what the 4chan discussion is trying to get at is that it is very easy to get caught up in anatomy (as in, "this muscle insertion goes here") while forgetting how these discrete parts combine into a greater whole - which itself can be simplified/stylized. A common example would be the case of naive pencil drawings…
