it looks to me that this might already have a normal map applied, but it definitely would be helpful to see some wires. I say that it looks like its already been baked because those look like seams along the outer edges and those circular indents appear to flatten out as you look down the beam. I find using render to texture is very useful for hiding seams. I'll render from a copy of the lowpoly, which I've box mapped, to the original lowpoly with the correct mapping. Then I can combine the two versions in photoshop to hide the seams. -

with you're textures you're just slapping on whatever you found from CGTextures, adding a little bit of wear, and calling it a day. it looks really amateur-ish. work on painting over the textures a lot, as well as trying to hide seams when you are texturing you also should work on your geometry - e.g. deleting/welding edge… -
