Yeah good points. I agree if its a planned detail you've probably already thought about it and its not like it wouldn't be hard to paint in. I agree I probably wouldn't waste time trying to getting a spot to bake badly, but I might not nuke it if pops up... maybe...
It'd make sense if they had a user nuke at there disposal. just delete all posts by such and such user. Not too hard to code if they haven't. Just test it on a dummy version first please. I deleted all my user's and permissions on my last database thanks to a rouge var carrying into the query.
Photoshop does not come up with many options to convert 16 bit textures and I need 16-bit, grayscale PNG file. I have not tried it from gimp! I will have a look. At the moment the only programme that can view, edit and give multiple export choices is Nuke.
Nope, I mentioned only things from "outside". Autodesk use same "buying updates" policy for 3ds Max as for Maya. All 3D DCC apps may be used for visualization. And After Effects and Nuke widely used in visualization pipeline. And not for only static images, dynamic scenes too.
did the GUIs EVER look right? You can try going one step further and deleting the .ini files that start with UDK.. AND the .ini files that start with Default. The default ones can get autogenerated too, but it's a bit more nuke-from-orbit if you've done any unrealscripting or custom modding.
Nuke and Houdini are by far the most popular, take a look at other games and FX artist portfolios to see the quality of work (and type of work) you should aim for. Also if you want to pursue games, learn how to transfer your FX into UE4, it'll give you a big leg up on the competition.
Wow... so much good information here already and I have a feeling we're just getting started! I never knew that screen mode was a hack in gamma space. That makes perfect sense because when compositing in shake or nuke with linear renders you don't use screen for reflections either.
Except re-saving in .exr with Photoshop (with Nuke it doesn't work, even with the same parameter than PS) and re-import everything (File > Import Surface). We don't have any way to edit .json easily either, I hope you will re-add jpg/png compatibility for displacement.
looks like predictable paul nuked his website another link I found (not sure which version though) http://www.ldaustinart.com/paul//scripts/max/mopMultiImport.ms if that dosn't work search here maybe you find something related http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/tags/obj
Haha thanks dirigible, and thank you nukes. But yes like dirigible is saying and like I wrote on that post when i first uploaded the lowpoly, that low poly isn't even uv mapped. I'll post up the actual low poly later guys, thank you for all your input though.
