I just use the default settings and have 256 rays. My CPU is pretty old, that's why the default bucket takes so long on mine i think. I have a Q6600!! Ed
In max you only have to go into Options/Preferences (Ctrl+O) in the Edit UVWs window and change the render width/height according to the image. To save that as default : Options/Save Current settings as default ;)
What do your Picker: Depth settings look like? Curvetube might have Once Z set by default. If so switch it to Continuous Z (Cont Z). CurveTubeSnap on the other hand should have that on by default.

Well, yeah, as Tortilla pointed out I think the default gift is a 25% coupon but still, I'd be glad to have another one on top of the default one if I didn't have any Valve games.
I don't think so. When you retick the checkbox your add-on is (re-)registered, and this will make it reset its properties to their default values. You'd need to change their default values to what you want, even if momentarily.
