This is getting frustrating. My main computer is a Mac, and I boot camp to PC for UDK and Max. When I view the renders on PC and inside UDK, they aren't dark. it looks like you haven't done a secondary motion pass on anything yet. thats what really maks the animation have character. you still need some twist in the hips with each step, along with twist of the upper body. plus the head is stiff and part of the body, this along with the hands need follow through and overlapping…
