Someone back in the Q3 modding days did a pirate player model where they printed out the UVs and coloured it in with pencils, I seem to recall it looked quite good. I've looked for the model once or twice but I can't remember the name so I can never find it :(
Hi Pavel, I'm a regular WoT player and I wanted to say thanks for posting these amazing images. I always look forward to new HD models arriving in-game with the latest updates. Keep up the amazing work! Cheers. wotcustoms.net https://dribbble.com/bigdukesix http://dplint.deviantart.com/
One more thing I just got out of my sleep addled brain: Try to make each area very easy to distinguish. Either with color or architecture. It's very important for the player to be able to orient themselves. See System Shock 2 for an older, but very good example.
I had this idea (which I kinda skipped in favor of others) of a sofa and in front a couple of TVs with DVD players and this elaborat DVD changing system from shelfs on shelfs of DVDs, and automatic rolling table with an robo arm to open the door when the pizza man came ect.
In my opinion more important is to give player good story , great and hard to find details that gonna give you edge over other titles. For example gone home look student-ish as well and it's successful - all depend on story and gameplay solutions. Graphics looks neatly.
Thank you. I thought as much. I plan to texture it in Substance painter so should look fine without baking. Can I ask what are the kind of models you do low and high for? Is it mainly for highly detailed assets that the player will walk up close too?
That's good news but I still don't know what ticket to buy. I don't care about floor seats or player meet and greets but do care about the after party. Although if there's going to be so many more people at TI4, getting into the afterparty probably won't be as important.
Just finished EP2 and working through portal. Those turrets are creepy. Is it just me or would a rocket jump like ability be fun to add? Maybe not rocket jump but something that would allow the player ricochet off of surfaces. I cant wait to get my Cake at the end!!@#
Yah, the auto-grouping in the missions is really nice. I jumped into a 'enemy signal' point from sector space, and a couple of other players jumped in, someone yelled out "Let the hunt begin!" and we all just started laying waste to the squads of Birds of Prey. It was a bloodbath! :D
I'd say "that looks neat" but my effing god I havent had to put up with so much bs just to watch a video since real player was king. Buffering every 10 seconds and three times I had to put up with "please age verify"...
