This is mint! Awesome job! I'd maybe make the blue slightly more cyan to reflect the Pokémon's true colour, as this guy's blue is a bit dark. My main issue with the concept is the scale of the door in the back. I would make the door smaller as otherwise the recognizer will loose the sense of scale as there is no other point of reference. Maybe make the door smaller and lower the camera angle to where it is on ground level looking up at the recognizer.… -

The real answer in my opinion is "run a profiler and see if it slows the game down too much." I don't think UE4 should have any trouble running 50 drawcalls and 50 materials, and as DX12 support gets rolled out you should have no trouble with 10,000. Of course if you have a 4k texture on each of those you'll have problems.… -

I think bulkier/epic could work well since there are so many other sets available for DK. It would help set yours apart from what's already in.
