Well, right off the bat, the proportions of the drawing are quite off. The reference is a much more stocky, chunky animal. Yours has a rather elongated body. when i create the low poly i use instances, so that i can make them perfectly match across the border, then i would combine them with the conecting bits of the other instances and delete everything beyond 1 or two polys from the actual piece. hope that makes sense basically makinf sure there is a poly extra to take up the… -

Interesting topic. It's funny that you find sculpting hardest even though you are pretty skilled at it. ;) I guess that the reason people usually find texturing and animation the hardest is because it's usually the steps they rush or skip when creating characters. Most time is spent on modelling, texturing is rushed… -
