I tried this software when i was 14 or 15. Could´t even create a simple mesh. And we had no internet at home, so i had to read about the software at school.
Well, not working with an OBJ from my Dropbox, crashes on loading. I tried a 14 triangle house shape with 64x64 textures, gonna try and stick one in the local directory see if it works.
... Yep: http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=56985 There's a trial of the game, I saw the files from it... http://www.fileplanet.com/192215/190000/fileinfo/FINAL-FANTASY-XI-14-Day-Free-Trial
You don't need a complex unwrap on planar models like this. Just planar uvs and relaxing may work. This may also help you in many ways: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1187593&postcount=14 good luck
ahaha, Dont worry about it, that site as brought me so many clients over the last 13-14 years. Bad html or not i dont mind ^^ and since i retired from game a while ago, It will just live on the way it is ^_^

save and quit? isnt there only the exit borderlands option when you hit escape? Either way, at home, im 21 or 22. This computer im 14... so, ya, a lot is missing. One of the auto saves would have gotten it.
You'd have to have at least a 4096x4096 to have enough pixels to have just a pixel per polygon, assuming you could also have a perfect unwrap. so, yeah, you don't really need 14 million polygons for a bake.
Seems really foolish look down on someone's work just because they're a lot younger than you. I started making game art when I was 14 using GMax, but there are industry professionals who started in their late twenties.
Thats not quite true, a typical wood for handles is ash, its extremely hard and a very common woodtype for tools like hammers and axe's, and its a very bright grain. http://www.toolspot.co.uk/product/14-ash-axe-handle?source=froogle
