By the way, "mars" is March in swedish - just so that no-one thinks I don't know how to spell in English :) Allso, I've entered the "Scene from a movie" competition over at gameartist.com - here is a link to my progress thread http://www.game-artist.net/forums/scene-movie-competition/9206-sfam-great-machine.html Critique…
The high contrast in some of the textures makes the whole scene very "noisy". You could argue that the high contrast is an artistic choice and i would agree but the fact of the matter is that the scene is not pleasant to look at due to that noisiness. The repetition doesnt help either. I would find a way to break that…
good start, I think you need to have a little more lighting going on, a lot of the props are mostly silhouetted. The lighting could help determine the focus for the scene so be careful with where you place the lights. The scene feels a bit hazy like a damp overcast very slightly foggy day, it is a little too blurry overall…
Spent the day cleaning up lightmaps and some further work on the lighting to create some contrast areas to avoid the scene being too washed out. I think it's more pleasing to look at now in certain areas, such as near the curtains and duffel bag, whilst still maintaining the overall brightness of the scene. Added some…
Hello, I'm sorry for bothering but I can't understand if there a way to launch specific Marmoset Toolbag scene with a python scrip. For example if I launch "toolbag.exe" " script-path" it works, but I can't start .tbscene files with a script same way. I will be very grateful for answer. My bad, solved this by passing…
I did. I'm doing the high poly bake to medium poly to lowest poly (that shares the same uv Island placement) Per scene and unused objects, I was only using one of the models in it for the test. I guess instead of exporting just the model in the scene, it exported the entire imported model list. I believe the one in…
Bloody good job I must add! Seriously the most photo-material real looking scene I've ever witnessed in any game. I can seriously see that "make a movie scene" competition with Cryengine 3 have some new amazing results in realism. Heck, even a short spaced firefight game at that with those settings and detail! ahh :)
Lighting is a bit flat and uninteresting. The above image has more life and looks lived in (good ref and direction). Your scene looks a little off atm. I think the ceiling is way too cramped and low. I mean look at the distance from the highest corner post in the above image and compare to your scene....I know it's a…
The overall feeling of the scene is already quite nice. If I where you, I would model a little more depth of the rocks within the wall, but still keep it as one object. This way you can easily paint the seperations of the rock, and it will give a much better feeling. Keep up the good work, I'm really looking forward to see…
The cars looks great, I especially liked the scene where you're unveiling the car. I don't think you should have the thriller scene at the end as it doesn't help you in any way. I expected something great at the end as a finisher but instead you showed you're weakest piece. Just my opinion though, keep up the good work :)
