...And so ended the era of shitty hair in videogames, (or at least I hope this will.) The foliage stuff looks like a good as well. Seconded the notion of a followup tool that helps ease the pain of baking these details for maps and game use.
I can't believe the kid talks like that around his mother. I didn't really feel comfortable swearing around my parents until I was probably about 15. I blame the internet and videogames.
yes! I finally figured out UV sets, that is the most awesome thing for videogames texturing. It really downsizes texturefile space. Anyway here is my curent project, please feel free to critique renderrough wireframe
They should create these "make your own videogame" where they just give you a skeleton-game, boxes and planes and stuff like that, maybe an occational teapot, That way we could buy the games and make the art for it ourselves!
Thank you for reply! No worries, I bought a book of a scientist who analyzes videogames,in terms of aesthetics typography e.t.c Sorry, but this moment,I am very busy to write an analysis like this.Maybe in the future I will try to accomplish this
I dont have an answer for that. Honestly I don't follow other studios very much. I don't even play videogames in my free time except if I'm at a party and its Call of Duty or Halo or something. :poly121:
The only defining design traits of a videogame are that they are: a- interactive b- experiences Technology certainly contributes in a multitude of ways, big and small, to one's ability to design interaction and convey experience. A game is certainly not automatically good because it has better tech.
Talking about the Q3 engine here's a clip with John Carmack bragging that videogame engine programming is a whole lot more complicated than space travel ... how cocky can you be, no seriously ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcWRc1wK3gM
i like basketball as much as the next guy, just don't really like videogames about it...but i could honestly see playing a game like this. very evocative choice of environments that have been realized beautifully, nice job!
Mun Tree All. Home of the videogame tax breaks. Makes me wonder how long it's gonna last. I have trouble believing the province that bleeds the most money in Canada, can maintain a 50%+ subsidy on salaries. D:
