Congrats joolz and poop! I just got the latest Computer Graphics World and it had a two page article on the game. I didn't see poop's guys in there, but I'll have to check it again for joolz'. The whole install is less than 25MB. 25MB! (I mean, these days, you know, that's small.)
Umm... most creatures tend to be all one object... your fingernails are "welded" into your body, right? I think it looks great, Rooster. I like the bloody version best. I reckon you could get this guy down to 2000-3000 triangles without losing too much detail. Bear in mind that most of the Doom3 and Quake4 models are…
you might want to reconsider the 320 gig HD.. or at least keep the option in the back of your mind to get a second one.. right now im in the process of switching pc's and i had a lot of throwing away to do to get all my files onto a 250 gig drive (granted thats 70 gigs less, but your HD would have the OS and software…

I've imported them without issue once resized. Else my pc crashed. Just check that in your obj import options you have textures coordinates, import materials and show maps in viewport on. But again you resolution is overkill. Your source photos are nowhere near that accuracy, because your textures are blurry. 16 * 8k² =…

I animated a little ball to represent the magic she was hitting but it looked really weird and distracting from the actual animation so I left it off. So imagine…
https://youtu.be/cQfjXcr9Y5c Created a video on the curve warp for stylized hair not too long ago. I have upated my workflow since then. I create all of the curves first and then duplicate my original hair geo/strip, so i have enough objects to use on the curves.…
I agree with the texture sizes, 256 and 512 are pretty much the work horses for props. 1024 for bigger custom props and wall tiles. 2048 is sky box big, actually I think sky boxes are now 4096? but still you should get the scale reference. I think unreal clamps texture size at 1024? So the originals you import may be 2048…
I haven't the time no inclination to read the entire thread up to this point, especially because I read the last one and I can't imagine it being too different. Honestly, I think whether or not piracy is wrong/illegal is completely a moot point at this day and age. The fact is piracy happens, and cannot really be curtailed…
