Did the Hair and sculpt the hands for today. I will merge these body parts into one subtool and change the pose into a T-pose. Hopefully, I can finish this sculpt in a few days.
Really nice sculpt! We can easily notice the similarities between you and your sculpt. Your chin looks a bit different from the one of the sculpt, and maybe your head is a bit larger too. But still, good job.
mine is: 1. concept 2. zsphere base 3. sculpt naked char 4. sculpt clothes 5. either sculpt or box model add-ons 6. retopologise all 7. fix, uv and bake 8. texture.
I will try to do mask sculpting... Only been free-sculpting all this time <_<" Focusing on the shoulders atm. Looking at my bicep as I sculpt this... Still looks weird, @_@ Oh, I did adjust the head-proportion, though.
If you sculpt from the same distance and the same angle as A you should sculpt with A. If you sculpt with orthographic and directly from the front you should use B. Pretty much, match your FOV that you work in to your references.

Are you using zBrush? I have a tool I made for working on tilable sculpts like that. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1482056/TexturePlane.ZTL There's a second "centering" subtool in there that you can use for centering/framing the mesh.
