OMG that watermark is horrible. REMOVE THAT JUNK. No one is going to steal the textures. Just post the image at a really odd size (612x612 for the whole sheet). I like the idea of the scene and the modeling a lot. Your color usage is all over the place. Blizzard has really tight, super thought out color palettes. I would…
Try this render setup and the tips that people posted. you might like it. Here is a link to my Elefant where I use the same setup for rendering in max.To give you a feel for what it looks like. http://www.military-meshes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6143…

I agree with Shabba, really you only want to be doing major forms if Zbrush if your planning on baking down for your typical first person shooter game asset. I only ever put in as much detail as I'm going to need, something like planks would literally be a matter of minutes to scuff the edges and chip away the odd bit here…

Sorry for the huge post here, but I just wanted to share the Bioshock Benchmark utility. I ran it at max settings at 1080p. You can see the average frame rate sits between 35-55fps. It's awesome having a laptop that is more powerful than my desktop :P I can't recommend this laptop enough. During the benchmark I could…
I'll give that a go with my next retopo project and see how it goes. Actually, I'm doing some xgen work at the moment... this may help as well... @oglu , converting the hi-poly mesh to an allembic cache allowed me to work with a much higher poly count. Typically I try to reduce the hi to around 200-400k, but just to test…
