You can disable a mesh from casting shadows by selecting that mesh component and unchecking Cast Shadows

Apparently an old driver (4.78) allows language selection. In the ones since then they force automatic detection. Bah.

box -> convert to poly -> select all faces -> flip faces or box -> normal modifier -> convert to poly
