I'm not sure snipers can wear other hats? If not then you would need to replace either the player model or the head if its separate. OR the hat will have to cover up the snipers default hat... As for the error, you need to connect to steam first.

I usually use smart objects for bakes in case I need to replace the contents down the line. For synching, I imagine SO instances would work out pretty nicely as clipping masks for color fills in the Roughness/Metalness groups.
Little update. More tweaks on the metal shader. Cube map replaced by a simple environment map. I made it very blurry so it's looks cool on the metal parts. So little changes in the end, looks like it doesn't even move...
It struggles with any non-grid layout it seems. It will never replace an artist in any case. You'll always need a human eye to get the best result. I can see it being handy as a supplementary tool, but a human touch will never be discarded.
Having some issues with the rock texture stretching on the terrain, UV's are just messed up. Anyone have an idea how to work this out the correct way? Otherwise, moving on with other stuff, the terrain is worth the attention but can replace textures easily :)
We use these on our workstations - https://www.amazon.com/APC-BE550G-Back-UPS-8-outlet-Uninterruptible/dp/B0019804U8 - they are for graceful shutdowns mostly - you can get about 10-15 minutes. Good price for that function. Batteries are replaceable.
Here are some screenshots of what I am talking about. A very simple design of the CZ75. I made the shiny parts slightly brighter, the rest is still original and edited the alphachannel, then replaced the pist_cz_75.vtf files in the v_model and w_model folder.
incredible work, that's for sure. I only got 1 suggestion: the distant mountains lack detail. So either increase the detail terrain view distance or replace them with objects. cheers ps: kinda reminds me of the lodge of Alan Wake :)
Advanced a lot more on jinx's design and outfit , went for the military look i decided and still working on it , for now still not sure about the bandanna on her head ! it was ment to replace the hair tails but still not convinced yet ! will keep updating regularly !
