Archos make some of the best MP3 players around IMO, should be interesting to see what their tablet is like. They're going to have to work hard to be any kind of serious competion for Wacom though.
Just jumped onto you website link, excellent work! Love the lil cottages, and that football player is silly huge! Yun is sick too, but wheres his skateboard? Ha, good work man
unity web player is epic for the ability to show off models, not to mention installing the plugin takes 3 seconds max. run -> click install -> finshed installed and loaded. in a blink of a eye. good stuff.
what i'd do is get flowgraph and get the current player location. then set the current location of the camera to that +something on one axis and adjust the rotation accordingly. activate the camera and set the game to thirdperson mode.
What about just pure MPEG. Every windows PC has the MPEG codec built in. It will play in WM, quicktime, or any other video player. For Mac's they can play it in quicktime so they are covered.
well those trees look reall nice on those still shot but my experience with speedtree is that all the leaves are just sprites that always face the player, wich make it look kinda fake in motion...
Well, the player models aren't necessarily static in that sense. So the shadow concept, while effective, isn't exactly applicable here. I've also seen your German Infantryman, Daz, it was quite spectacular
A question to ask in regards to your first question would be- How big is it? How close would a player be able to get to it? That would determine how much pixel density you'll want to pack into that model.
Castlevania SotN (good old times when you could put your ps1 games directly in your cd player to listen at the soundtrack ) The legend of Zelda (the windwaker, ocarina of time and the orchestral revision)
the _hand md3 also has a firing animation too The animation frames are dependent on the player model's animation.cfg (look at the lines that say DO NOT CHANGE - hand anim is synced to this, and you'll get an idea of a framelist)
