1- never experienced this are you sure you havent got something like "create uvs in new set" tagged 2- yes look in display-polygons-custom poly display, lots of powerfull stuff in there too. 3- you can relax, or smooth using the sculpting tools, which if you want to do it across the whole model select what you want…
{pre-post apologies, its 4am here, I just got off a long day of work, AND im drunk from post work cocktails) Hey Panzer. Good first effort! I'd like to say that you need to learn to use more sharp edges. Your model here seems to suffer from a Zbrush-Itis, which is common to new users. He's very lumpy & balloony. No sharp…
Here's an example of where they both suck. Yes, it's a bit contrived, but now you can see why all the techy panels in the Doom 3 world or kind of soft, or they slightly bevelled everything on the first place: (these are sized down, so some of it's lost I guess) [img]http://www.members.shaw.ca/whargoul/bad normals…
aye use of a very soft reflectionmap might help... i would rework either the HP or/and textures of the floor so that there is more wear around the door from feet etc soften the edges add a touch more grease from human contact...could do the same with the woood the metal could do with a touch more texture the edge…
I was at EA in Burnaby for a few months and I would sometimes go help out in some of the dev areas. Every time I went, someone would end up throwing something at somebody. One guy hit me in the back with a soft little stress ball one time and I gave him this odd look 'cause I didn't really know how to react (I was just a…
Just stick with one thing, companies would rather you just be very good at one thing then OK at several. The quality bar in the industry is always rising and you'll be hard pressed to catch up if you don't have focus. Having said that, assuming your new to environment art like characters, and decide to go in that…
thanks guys! Slaught Thanks! Xaltar Thank you! RazorBladder Thanks! I certainly hope so Bobo_the_Seal Thanks! Sectaurs I don't know if they where in stranger, but isn't Munch's Oddyssee next-gen? I'm not really sure what is meant by next-gen anyways... I sure hope it's ok! It would really suck to be disqualified... But…
Danny Elfman music gets reused alot too. One that comes to mind is that "childrens choir" singing a soft sad tune. Sounds very harry potteresque. It gets reused in many trailors. Its from one of the Tim burton movies.. Beatlejuice maybe. I dunno. I totally hate the Bad guy comes to life at the end for one final strike.…
yeah i find just the odd touch up by hand can really make the whole thing just feel that bit sharper. btu yeah a filtered sharpen tends to look pants but can sometimes be used to great effect, if you mask it out then just add it in a bit where its needed now i see it the changes have made a good bit of difference =P still…
Whoa, Adam, I absolutely disagree with your paintover ... the final one you did looks really weird and quite ugly ... the middle one is probably the best. I agree that the eyes are in a slightly odd place in the original (although not *too* extreme to be unbelievable), your "lowered eyes" version does look a bit more…
