cant talk about what that models for, but I was mainly working on something else, I did about 65% of the art for 'Junior Board Games' A pretty simple translation of some boardgames onto ps2. valkyria chronicles: the thing with that one for me is that it is not strictly turn-based. sadly they diluted it with pointless action elements and it lacks a little gameplay depth on the battlefield, shame. :( xcom2 - terror from the deep seems to have been the finest example of this genre so far? i loved the murky… -

Very nicely made model, especially from a self-confessed 3d newbie. It's an old-school approach you've taken, but executed well. For animation and rigging : I'd add another loop or two around the forearm. When you twist the wrist, it'll help to stop it collapsing too much. This stuff will make more sense once you start… -

@motives: lol... okay i shoulda spent more time on that reply. the most exciting run-and-shoot games i've played are from id and epic. possibly because of the originality? im almost sick of seeing the same /close to same setting etc. etc. with all the WW fps games. CoD, Medal, Battlefield [the first one or two i think?]… -

This is how I started to do my branches. Battlefield 2 used a nice method of branches and leaf setup too. They split a 1024px texture in four 512px sectors and did another material on each. So you have four materials to get rid of generic look but on one texture which is nice for graphic card streaming. -

Really cool artwork! Love the idea for the game too, I can imagine how fun it will be to play with friends. Would be cool if missions were setup like episodes in a sci-fi series, drawing inspiration from Start Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Lost in Space, Firefly, etc... Keep up the amazing progress! :D -
