Hi, I'm wondering if anyone could give me some pointers creating a sphere map shader in shaderfx. There's one in the examples but I can't seem to get it to display correctly (it says set the vector space to world, but it appears that's the default anyway. it just looks like a smudge of colour) any tips? cheers! -rich
I'm a little confused about where these settings are coming from. Where are you setting the tiling? - if its in your maya material, then the export to unreal doesn't know anything about it. I've used Maya for a very long time but I'm a bit of a luddite with it and may have missed newer plugins or workflows.
I'm back with some more renders and updated textures from some feedback I got. Although the changes are subtle, I'm happier with the results and will continue updating it a little bit more before re-uploading the project.
@Quasar thanks for your feedback! i agree, it looks a bit strange, and i can see the difference it made when i started applying some more detail on the skirt. i might go back to refine the blouse a little bit too, but in general i can see the improvement!

Life got in the way a little bit but I have some more progress. Filled out the scene with some megaplants trees. Hope to continue moving on with this for the next week and a bit.
Thanks! Appreciate it. I tried tweaking the face a bit, but over time the feel of the character is off compared to the concept so I will have to revisit it after more progress. Did a little bit on the hair as well. Also getting some shadow artifacts which I'll address later or likely in engine.

I got quite frustrated doing and redoing the leg. I never quite get the knees right, and when they're wrong, it messes the whole thing up.
