I usually like to draw on bristol paper, right now I'm using Borden & Riley's #234 paris: bleedproof paper for pens. It's really smooth and withstands multiple erases without falling apart like ditto paper, has survived me taking a nap on top of my work without smudging or being otherwise damaged. I draw just about…
Slosh that is where the 230 dollar/day rate comes from. 230 a day is what you would have to charge, 5 days a week 52 weeks a year to make 60k a year. First, nobody wants to work 5 days a week 52 weeks year, so right there we are already charging less than a salaried employee. Second, no benefits. This can be a big one for…
hey guys, posting this up because I think I'm stuck or there's no more optimization to make on it, but wanted some input. Currently the outside and inside faces of the wheels are not using square opacity, as we don't know if mobile devices will be able to draw that much overlapping opacity yet... we're supposed to be doing…
Why do you want to do it like that? As I understand your issue it's not a modeling issue but a logic issue. This tile-id related issue is really sounding like a basic misconception or flaw of your approach. Imo your problem arises because you have 4 tiles on your texture but you have 6 tiles on your model. If you…
Anyone being dogmatic about surfaces that cannot be represented by the shader you're using is very silly and doesn't know what they're talking about. However, there are some hard(ish) rules metallic specular/basecolor values should never be fully saturated (eg. 255,0,0) minimum valid value for metallic specular/basecolor…
Well, there is no pure color in properly-formatted PBR color maps. And tone mappers can only do great with good inputs. White paint for example should be no brighter than 240 or so. Snow is the brightest at about 243. A lemon peel is around 220,185,0.
I think you're getting some compression artefacts from those gradients. I recommend that you re-do them in Photoshop and make them one pixel tall. I did it by changing the code where the bottom gradient sits, to this: <tbody><tr><td valign="bottom" height="230"><img src="www.ent3d.com_files/gradient_3.jpg" width="1100"…
If the lic on the laptop is a retail version you can upgrade. They have a "can I upgrade windows on this PC" tool you download which will tell you if its a version that can be upgraded, even checks the hardware. If its OEM on the laptop, it probably can not be upgraded. But MS does make some exceptions for hardware bought…
Hopefully sooner or later I mean the country is only 234 years old but we should be making better strides for for better society in all areas. Capital Punishment sounds good in theory as long as it doesn't have to be used and only as a deterrent to commit crimes but yes the underlying issues still need to be taken care of,…
That 50MP camera is full-frame, so a 8mm fisheye would be about 132º field of view, which would mean a max resolution of 23k (I think?). A bit overkill, but I can dream :) You could capture the full dynamic range of the sun with even 4 EVs, it would just mean the rest of your image would be almost solid black and noisy as…
