Why do you want to do it like that? As I understand your issue it's not a modeling issue but a logic issue. Well, there is no pure color in properly-formatted PBR color maps. And tone mappers can only do great with good inputs. White paint for example should be no brighter than 240 or so. Snow is the brightest at about 243. A lemon peel is around 220,185,0. -

I think you're getting some compression artefacts from those gradients. I recommend that you re-do them in Photoshop and make them one pixel tall. If the lic on the laptop is a retail version you can upgrade. They have a "can I upgrade windows on this PC" tool you download which will tell you if its a version that can be upgraded, even checks the hardware. If its OEM on the laptop, it probably can not be upgraded. But MS does make some exceptions for hardware bought… -
