http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=71131 i practically tripped out on the deja vu: i coulda sworn i'd made a thread with the same title. turns out i did! lol and personally: i dont like the colour shifting all that much
I learned a lot about lighting. Thats not exactly what makes me struggle. It´s the decission, if it´s necessary to build a whole scene to present my characters or is there a good and practical way to do this, whitout spending so much time and to a environment for the character?
Just a fun practice to remember my Blender skillzz, Tutoring some kids in it soon. Wanted to also use this as a demo of how basic shapes can build scenes up fast. (Immediately notice so many things wrong after posting rofl)
Loving the gun concepts, really makes me wanna model some, thus making me really curious how you made these? Would be nice to be able to gain some tips/tricks so I could try practice my own concepts.
The wrapping on the mace is too crude, especially in contrast to the masterfully crafted metal part and basically all of her equipment, it wouldn't be practical either. Some tight chain wrapping might fit better or fine woven leather straps or velvet with a metal net wrap.
Haven't updated in a little bit so this was where the statue more or less ended up. Not entirely happy with it, the pose is derpy and boring but good practice I suppose. Few issues with seams that need my attention but few more important things going on atm.
She has a bit of a horse face, and I don't see any practical battle suit having high heels... But those are just personal preference. It's looking really awesome so far! And to echo Illusive, the density of the armor definitely draws the eye to the crotch.
Started on a brand new project now that it's summer. I've been wanted to do something with this character for a while, so I'm going through the full pipeline with her to get some practice. So far the second picture is what I'm at for the design right now.
I've been working on the HP of a M48 tomahawk to continue my Max practice but I decided to come back to the combat knife for a bit. I just finished my bake Retopo, Uv & bake took around 4 hours comments and crits are welcomed :)
Yeah. I'm getting the same thing on my PC. Gives me a chance to practice with SD and improve my work there. Tried updating the AMD drivers, and tried again the same thing occurred. AMD doesn't like Allegorithmic all that well. Ha ha!
