I think having those squares as lights would be too over-powering for the scene, so far it seems more ominous then that. Disting, maybe quickly try and export the ceiling model / texture into Crysis and see how the normals react in there, I know sometimes maya (for me personal) can play some havok on how it displays… -

yep, which is more than worth the result, since tris are cheap. note for the future, you should not be trying to optimize till you got clear targets of what needs to be optimized. Since no point trying to save tris, if it's the fill rate slowing things down, and no point trying to fix fillrate issues if the issue is draw… -

Did you try the suggestions in this thread? Specifically, make sure high res shadows is enabled, and adjust the width of the light to convert the light into an area light, which will allow you to blur the shadows which can help reduce jaggedness. You can try turning off contact refinement in the light properties as well.… -

pop open the lid and see if the graphics card is running/nothing is burned etc. Also another thing to try is removing the CMOS battery and putting it back in. Also as PolyHertz mentioned, some motherboards have a silent boot so if your hd is gone might not be booting into anything (though usually you see a blinking cursor)… -
