I've finished second illustration from my "The Lord of the Rings (Eowyn)" digital art-photo project. In previous posts you can see some models which I used in the scene and raw 3d frame. Whole scene was made in 3d. Photo of the model (Szronogrzywa) was taken by me.
You might want to reduce the lighting on the barn, turning it into more of a silhouette, both to match the sun's apparent position and to reduce its impact on the scene. Since it's already so close, you might want to shift the road's vanishing point to the intersection of a line at the top third and the left third of the…
Yea, the first thing I was going to say was UI scenes are obsolete now. Though you could download an older build. You'd be best using Scaleform OR use static meshes and kismet to "hack" it in. I recently did this to a small project since I had to replace UI scenes.
I would say stick with the night scene. Also keep the tree in the horizon but replace the waning sun with a full moon, maybe a harvest moon. Be sure to change some of the houses they look like a set of model homes in a new subdivision (variety). The scene look great though, do not misunderstand.
Version 1.11 is available. Changelog: Added support for XRef scenes. If mouse cursor is over any polygon in the XRef scene geometry object the miauu's Work Plane will uses that polygon as the basis for the Work Plane orientation and will be aligned to it. Idea by Shawn Olson. Special thanks to Shawn Olson for the help and…
Your scene looks nice so far i'm glad it's not spammed with random detail for the sake of it feels more like things have a purpose, would it be possible to see flats on your scene above this? be really nice to see good job so far, lookin forward to the rest of it :D
I wanted to make up a scene to actually put the assets I'm making into, so I drew up a rough sketch of what I wanted to do and started to mess with the colors and lighting. I also started doing a greybox for the scene, let me know what you think!
I love the overall mood of the scene, but I would actually add a bit more graffiti and some litter on the ground, the buildings look great but the rest of the scene seems a bit too clean in comparison. It also looks like the glowing orbs that are closest to the camera aren't actually attached to anything.
Maybe re-thinking of the place of your trash can, because for me it looks like it is in the middle of the sidewalk. And are you thinking of adding a shield with bus routes and such, cause this will fit perfectly into your scene. Some newspaper on the bench or a even an house entry in the background will make your scene…
Just figuring out cool, quick ways to texture levels. after I've put the basic shading in (there are no lights in this scene), I will make the textures dirtier and generate some normal maps for the metal using crazy bump. this is the first scene of the game by the way, and I'm thinking part of the menu screen.
