ew.. didnt want to sound harsh or anything. this is seriously good work. just thought i might give you a hint that some more effective posing might give it the last touch in presentation and make it look more natural in the end - and i am saying this in a neutral mood. -

Nice work, the engraving is exquisite. I like the style of wood you went for (though the lines might be a bit dominant on the back of the grip?) I feel like the lighting might be throwing out my impression of the textures though, since the metal looks very purple. Would appreciate seeing this in a more neutral lighting… -

UPDATE 4/11 : Improved the model a bit, and started to see how it'd look in Blender (say hello to shading issues :neutral: ) : I bevelled some edges, like on the trigger guard, trigger, barrel tip, etc. N.B. : Forgive me, I was too lazy to crop the toolbar/window bar at the top and bottom :smile: -

This, seriously. When I did a vegetation heavy project recently, I spent a solid day running around outside and gathering photosource. I brought a white sheet of plastic and a white bedsheet with me as a neutral background so masking would be easier. Then I ended up going 100% handpainted, but MAN, the reference was great.… -

Get out of the car, roll down all the windows, roll them back up, then get back in and see if it starts. Computer repair skills certainly aren't going to hurt you at all. They'll either be neutral or be helpful. I say go for it as long as it isn't a huge pay cut (or can afford the pay cut, whichever). -

Looks awesome! I think you might try adding some more warmth and bounced light in the shadows. The shadows currently feel very neutral/gray, and I think you could get some mileage out of brightening and saturating your shadows. That's a stylistic choice of course, but it sounds like that's the style direction you're headed. -

After long experiments I find what was couse of these problem - png of normal map with transparent areas out of UV patches. I filled them with neutral for Normal map color, and these fix these problem! :) But, moving forward I encountered another little stranginess also mentioned here by final_fight several pages… -

I'd lose the black background - a neutral gray or a complimentary gradient would be better. The navigation buttons are blank rectangles in my browser (Firefox). I'd expect more images for each object - different viewing angles, texture sheets, wireframes, etc. Also, the linked images aren't much larger than the ones on the… -

Btw, when showing off something like your examples, please avoid black/white backgrounds, get a neutral color, which makes it easier to see your model. Don't know about you, but the white background just burned my eyes out, just not easy to see details on a dark model on a white background.
