@pior - Enjoy Nemesis! I kinda associate frustration with that game - I remember thinking it wasn't a significant step forward for a numbered sequel when it came out... and then later I read that the devs were forced to make it as a stopgap while developing the true sequel, Code Veronica. Still, some nice elements in…
This was such a crazy reveal. For those who missed out, an "interactive teaser" named "P.T." shows up on PSN, a demo for a first-person horror game (I twitched it, it creeped the shit outta me from what I saw). At the end it's revealed what it is with the credits and cutscene. I returned home a couple hours later and see…
Added wind and player interaction to our foliage: https://youtu.be/E40_m_67M4Y Our system uses vertex color to drive the world position offset of the material, very similar to what you can find in the content examples. The reception of the breakdown for the landscape material we did yesterday really suprised us (in a…
So I'm messing around with this shield in Sketchfab and Verold but I'm finding it impossible to get it to look how it looks in marmoset. Seems the diffuse is way too dark and the specular doesn't apply in the same way. Anyone got any tips for better consistency across renderers? I'd really like to have an interactive…
Shrug, I think the combat is more than mashing those 2 buttons but I also try and not take any damage, ever. Like Batman Arkham Asylum/City I do my best to mix up how I interact with the baddies. The sidequests and grind I find fun - as it never quite feels like grinding to me (except for finding all the f*cking feathers).
I know about Stackexchange Area51 and OSQA but they are just derivatives of the same platform. Stackexchange clones all look the same, behave the same and offer the same levels of customization. I want to create a truly artists independent site that NOT ONLY incorporates a Q&A system but that ALSO INCLUDES an interactive…
Oh well then that's a whole different problem can you post a screen of your UV window and your modifier stack? Make sure that "Keyboard Shortcut Override Toggle" is turned on. It looks like an up arrow on your top bar. What keybind are you using for that hotkey? Do you have a selection in the UV unwrap? Are there any other…
I use that book too, but mostly for facial topology. It's good book though. Here's a question for you: Are you talking about narrative as seen in any movie or cutscene in a game? Or. Are you talking about narrative with regard to interactive games & characters? If it is the latter, then you must also think about how the…
Yes you may be right about that, we need a stronger design mechanics pitch. We know we need to show more of the game off but we need to really jump in there and SHOW IT OFF. some of our feed back has been that people think it would be hard to interact and move around which is simply not the case, so we can tackle that as…
