the legs are currently much too short, it makes him look kinda dwarf esque, and you could do with adding a lot moer information to the diffuse and spec, he currently looks like the material is really just flat colours, it could do with more information going on there, but good so far -

Yeah it can be, but they're still mostly doing last-gen stuff, diffuse only, lowpoly models. If you want high quality current generation stuff, with quality normals, spec, etc. You're going to have a tough time finding it. And thats what i mean by staying with current tech. -

Awesome wheel barrel. I really like the rounded corners on the barrier, did you do that with just diffuse or is there a normal map there? The faded graffiti on the top of the recycle bin is in an odd place, I'm not sure someone could write that clearly on a bent surface. Usually taggers pick clear smooth surfaces? -

I seem to need to darken and desaturate my diffuse alot or else it shows up in UDK like a cartoon solid color. Here's my sidewalk concrete texture. I haven't given this the same treatment as the other textures yet, so any insight would be great to help me improve. -

RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE Got it all in UDK as instanced assets now! Everything is still super-WIP. I'm trying to block everything in (including design patterns, diffuse colors, vertex blending stuff, lighting, and soon foliage) before I really settle down to cranking on individual assets. -

Various Coatings on Metals in a Metalness UE4 Workflow
I've read through the PBR bible stickied here; it's fantastic and has helped a lot. The majority of my work, both at work and at home, is making weapons or vehicles, and as such I deal with a ton of different metals and their coatings, and I'm getting hung up on what is a "metal" and what is not. I'm hoping you folks can… -
Singe Texture multiple materials
Hello everyone, I just wanted to ask if there is any benefit of having multiple materials using the same set of maps (diffuse, normal, gloss and metalness) I am working on this project where I was told that I can use more than one material. I just can't find any advantage of that. Am I overlooking something?
