Realy nice work, defently a cool weapon did one myself. I think the metal seams a bit boring a bit to uniform, and agree with Kitteh a bit to saturated and maybe to dark. Other than that it's smashing :)
Most of these weapon concepts tend to rely heavily on the line-work which is hurting the material definition (ie wood is hard to distinguish from metal) you should try out some new rendering techniques
its getting along there bud, just remember to keep your edges nice and soft for baking purposes. Also the weapon looks to thin, might just be the angles at which it was rendered. besides that keep going at it bud!
Came in this thread expecting some bulky built guy, with a bunch of weapons. :p I like it, apart of the hair. Dunno. Fake edit: Nvm, I dunno, I guess its just me. :p
Glad you've changed your concept ^^ I suggest you add more elements (accessories,weapons,etc..) just to improve your character's silhouette. Good luck! I look forward to seeing more. ^^
This looks awesome. More color variation in the mechs would be cool. When you get to the faction logos, etc. take a look at the weapons from Brink. They have a cool level of personalization with paint/decals/etc

Hey all, I'm doing a stream of my work today, weapon art. It'll be in ZBrush and 3D coat, probably for another 3-4 hours. So feel free to drop on by: https://www.twitch.tv/crimrain
Looks good man, parts of the unwrap look a bit skewed though according to the checker pattern, it's apparent in the texture on the roof of the Mace/Axe weapon where it seems to be doing a zigzag. Apart from that it's looking neat :)
thanks sabor, i do agree about the sword, i got really tired in the end, it was like 3 am so yeah...that explains it for the weapon : ) another piece for this week's character of the week on CA and steps :
