ahh those epic faces! yes i did originally want to do them, but went in favor of a redesign to fit more with the developing style, but may add another more interesting piece to replace the one in between the waterfall to bring some more visual interest to that area.
That's looking awesome. You could maybe add some torches at the bottom of the stairs, not too strong though (it would distract fmo the focal point). But thinking in terms of gamplay and so, the player would be directed towards there because of the lighting. Looking epic, can't wait to see more!
awesome work ScottP, your work on chivalry is also sweeeet. Looking forward to seeing this flesh out more. side note- calm down almighty_girl. I think epic know what they are doing, considering it's still in dev. Stop ruining so many thread with arguements.
Awesome, thanks for that examples :D I know that my sword isn't looking as epic as these examples, I should've mentioned that I'm trying to build up on my knowledge on hand painting and modeling simpler forms so that later I know how to make something cooler :)
Ha that looks pretty damn fun dude! Needs epic guitar solos :D It gives me flashbacks to playing super mario bros 3s later levels for the first time >_< ; The style is really cool aswell. That's officially on my list of games to play, Awesome stuff :)
There were way too many good games that came out this year! For me, top picks would be Empire: Total War (after patch 1.5, this game is 100% epic), or Left 4 Dead 2. I'm sure there are more, but I can't seem to think this morning.
@3DMad Thank you man I really appreciate it :) I have some really sweet things planned for 2017, thanks to the amazing folks at Epic...I have been awarded an Unreal VR game dev grant so i will be working towards creating a game :)
Cant believe I have missed this thread, Epic work so far! one thing ive noticed is overwatch characters sometimes have small dark spots on their skin, look at roadhog for example. might be something worth adding, him being an older man and all.
If you already love bioware rpgs then you must play Jade Empire you can pick it up for like $10-$15 on Xbox live games on demand. Epics martials arts rpg with a solid bioware story and some really cool character and environment design.
