I like the first composition with the exception of the chain coming off that statue in the back. It LOOKS like it connects to the middle statue and blocks the path at first until you look closer. If that could be addressed, the first one seems stronger!
Well, I will get on this months challenge and will try to do that statue. Besides If proportions are off then you can get away by saying that proportions are off in these statues as well, but nobody seems to mind. :) EDIT: Almost forgot, my vote.

has the statue been UV'd yet, or is the shader just to show the object without the default checker on it? The temple looks awwwwwsome. I'm assuming the statue it going to get it's own texture :) Keep going!
I think the light from the side of the walls at the top of the church is kind of drawing your eyes away from the statue, maybe there could be moon light coming out of the stained glass window onto the statue, something like this maybe:
Getting closer to finishing up the Cthulhu statue. Also started a blockout of my scene in UE4, very simple right now but will have some updates soon. The big sphere is where the statue will go. As always feedback very welcome.
