Good job with the optimization. I think you can push your textures more. Add in some damage to where the shield would take most of the hits. Currently, your specular is pretty uniform, you'll want to break it up so that it really shines on areas that have been hit, and for areas that aren't going to be interacted with too…
there is plenty research on the topic, e.g http://www2.tech.purdue.edu/cgt/Facstaff/bbenes/private/papers/Benes09EGNat.zip google more on "interactive vegetation" and so on, you should find other research work but this is less of an artist issue than programming. If the game heavily depends on the concept, then it might…
I like the way the light interacts with the subtle nuances of the slightly disheveled, yet well-rendered hair. The piece has a certain childish air about it, and certainly in a good way. How long did it take to produce this masterpiece? Congratulations on your very talented daughter, guy. Just watch she doesn't get better…
I did, which is why I said "very few" which would leave room for one or two to be not the case. Again I'm all for the idea, and I think it's great. I just would like to see things distributed in the form that makes the most sense. PSD's are great for tons of layers that interact and overlap and refine, and there are very…
my favorite character was the lady who could interact with technology to a greater degree than Micah. i think she ended up inside the internet or something, because she talks to Micah through the computers or something. i can't wait for the next series though, they've already confirmed the actors that WON'T be in it. which…
This is just one of the most amazing realtime environments I've seen in a while. Every screenshot is just perfect. I noticed that the shadows seems to be arealight-generated, I assume you achieved this with a specific baking process. However, how do the shadows interact with the players, inside the game ? Are the shadows…
How good is the input response during all those combat animations? I play games like God of War and Devil May Cry, and sometimes you press the wrong button, and trigger a super long non interactive animation, and you do it in the wrong damn direction. :D Or worse, the slow motion panning / rotation after every 3 hits.
The only Physx feature that interested me was the fluid solver. Have liquids and gases interacting with the environment would be a lot more interesting that lots of boxes flying around. I'm surprised they haven't started marketing a card to the 3D artist market. Having a Physx card to preview Maya's soft body simulations…
