It depends on the game, the platform, how close the player gets to it and also how important the object is. More information about the things above will help you get a better answer.
Smartphones and tablets are going to kill handheld gaming devices. If Sony & Nintendo don't have plans on turning the PSP & Gameboy into smartphones they will be going the way of PDA's and MP3 players.
Working on some light and color art direction for the game. For fun I'll start getting a character controller in there too and test the camera and how I want the player to move.

Did you leave any holes in the muzzles (EI: parts which player won't see = deleted polygons) or was it all capped for engine/performance reasons like UDK?
But if you zoom close enough to the sharp corner as OP did you will see seams. My point was, that is acceptable because in real game players will not look that close to notice.
the only film i know where jeff goldblum played himself was The Player ... certainly don't remember that line in it though, unless if was on some DVD deleted scene or something
