Try getting into other creativity outlets. Such as traditional media or film or effects. I always find that to be extremely stress relieving cause I get to experiment without the nack of always trying to learn and get better in the 3d field.
Think of it this way, there are two parties here - you and your employer. You are being stressed out about being a nice loyal employee while they are weighing the cost/benefit of hiring you full time or keeping you a contractor.
Being able to fix your own hardware is a huge cost and time saver. A trip to a computer store to swap out your PSU/GPU is a lot cheaper and less stressful than dealing with tech support, waiting, and shipping.
Just came of a 15 month long contract and are in between jobs. As others said, this part can be very stressful. Other then that! Its great! But it's probably very subjective. I certainly don't miss office drama and constant meetings. ;)
This is bullshit, man. I don't know whether my art has uploaded or whether its uploading or what... I wish they had some sort of proper upload bar deal. This isn't good for me stress levels.
personally I would shit bricks constantly, i dont know how you handled the stress of what KP is getting at. I guess im just a paranoid hermit who is scared of the underside of his own hands....
Was a bit overworked and stressed out so I had to take a break. Working on some environment stuff this time, something I never really did. Bought a nice reference pack from Photobash. Really recommend that stuff. If anyone is interested, I bought this https://photobash.co/packs/shinto-shrines
Man, I was doodling for about 90 minutes and I am already worn out. Well, this is my FIRST SERIOUS model so I shouldn't be too stressed out. Learning is the priority, not making some masterpiece. So far, I was struggling with the topology, which is just messy AF.
I think that's a bit unfair. It's a valid question for someone to ask who is looking to get into the industry. If you're asking this after 5 years in, then you are probably right. I'd ask the same thing to a group of firefighters or police officers - is the stress and baggage of your job worth doing it every day?
Just a ingame mockup WIP picture for now... Just so that you can see the idears floating about in my brain, not done yet though. Obviouse things to do like the walls, floor on the other side and under view background... don't have to stress because of the deadline extension...
