That is a nice effect. :) is the monk statue actually teleporting from plane to plane? or are there two monk statues moving back and forth with linked rotation?
It would be interesting to know how many studios are exploring it these days. https://twitter.com/Framestore/status/1192137656144142351 https://twitter.com/Framestore/status/1192765647660486657
I was researching on this topic myself today because I wanted to do a button to toggle the WrapMode between 0 and 1 for each brush without having to use the slider (that I find really annoying). So after bumping into this thread I thought would be cool to have a toggle switch button, so I modified cryrid script with a…
Really think about the quality of the props you can make, not how much you can make. If you can make one kick ass statue, that would be a great little piece to show off. The concept you picked is pretty good. It has good composition, with a central focus. I would start off with just a snip of that scene, and if you decide…
[These pictures are high res, so I didn't embed them] I don't like the sculpted statue- I think it's very blobby, and brings down the scene(The rest of the scene looks nice, so far). The base-part that he's sitting on is sculpted very well, though. Did you use any reference while sculpting him? If not, check out these…

Interesting statue really like the sharp rocks. Might be interesting if the root type things where actually organic like they have grown up around the statue, just an idea though.
I wanted to do a postmortem walk-through on a piece. Adam Bromell has done this before (although better since his was a walk-through more than a postmortem). Jason Lavoie did a great video series on his Demon's Throne postmortem videos too. The finished scene is at the bottom. This is a walk-through of the process of…
As for the statue size, it all looks very disproportionate. With the statues by the giant walls, it looks small. With it being so much bigger than the house, the building appears tiny.
The rules say no living characters, so it seems like having statues is fine as long as they're not alive :) EDIT: actually it even says in the rules that statues are allowed so you're good to go :D
