4K is supported using the GPU engines. Make sure in the Advanced tab of the Preferences that the Cooking Size limit is set to 4096, sme thing in the Player.
Pg up and Pg dwn just adjusts the subdivisions previewed in 2 & 3 it doesn't actually switch to the smp. So its something used in conjunction vs an alternative.
thanks Mr smo . I'm working on it but I tried a new texturing workflow for this one , using mainly substance designer . It seems to be a very powerful software but I'm struggling with it :) .
