As an aspiring videogame artist, on the verge of starting to look for jobs, this was an excellent video to watch. Would you like to see more Polycount run functions/presentations/meetings/workshops? YES YES YES
i dont think one has to care passionately about Pacman to be upset about a bad blockbustermovie about videogame-icons. people get upset about all kinds of things nowadays.
What I admired most about Bioshock was that it was blatantly based on Ayn Rands nutty philosophy. When's the last time you saw THAT in a videogame? Wonder if Infinites will have the same stuff...
Thanks a lot for the response. I´m modeling a character for a videogame (a swat guy) and i´m having tons of problems doing the wrinkles on the pants. Not my best day :P thanks!
Grind: check out the latter half of vid 4. Looks to me like the most amazing rendition of an ocean yet seen in a videogame. Just my opinion, I hasten to add
videogame badges are just achievement unlocks for scouts. Get over it. achievement unlocked +1 20 campfires started. 10 tents erected. 5 old lady's helped to side of street.
Hi! I've been working two years as a 3D animator of the videogame ``Flynn and Freckles´´ and i wanted to show you my demo reel for feedback. I hope you like it, thanks for watching. https://youtu.be/AI4iev5Eb4M
Do you know the practical different between doing 3D for a videogame and doing it for CG? Like what's the difference in UVs and Textures? Any tutorials or sources to learn from would be great. Thanks!
I'm really liking the sculpt so far. The face is very unique and a nice break from the typical videogame male protagonist face. Are you using any photo reference (basing this off an actor)?
