I did a rustic iridescence in unity using only colored specular to the wings http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22781761/3dviewer/flyinginsect/WebPlayer.html This is not a realistic effect but in a limited mobile game may be a solution.
How soon can we expect support in Unity and UE4 for the new Substance Nodes like Curve and Text? Currently both engines are unable to import Substances created using those nodes.
Looks good, maybe post more pictures. If you are going to use dDo, bake an object space normal map and convert it to unity tangent space with handplane3d to get perfect normals in their previewer.
I have contacted him privately over at the unity forums. he hasn't responded even though I know for a fact that he has been on since then and made yet another topic.
I did more work with the Unity portfolio part of my grimoire, today. There's still one more thing I want to let users do with it, but it's pretty much wrapped up now.
Are you using the delta.smooth for ur turning speed in unity ( i think it was called that ) ? if not check that out, it makes the ship less snappy when it turns around to fire. Otherwise realy nice work !
I'm also on that type of dillema - I'm doing my work in unity, coding is by myslef - I just would need an 3d artist for models. What's the costs of hiring 3d artist just for this?
wow have not been here in a while and didn't think people are still using this. I am open to suggestions such as using sets, and updating it to be for ue4 and unity since it was only ever made for udk
For Unity you have Commander-Keen(?) who made a node based setup plugin iirc. As for a 'unique' stand-alone node shader creator, nope, there isn't one, and I'm honestly surprised.
