Visum: I'm hoping for someone to tell me, heh. I'm no longer with Interwave, so I have mixed feelings about this. For a publisher to show up only just after it was too late to keep us working on it... it's a shame. Still, I hope it does well, we've put a lot of love into the game and I'm proud of it.
I'm with ya on understanding the Material Editor. It can open so many doors if you know how to use it. There are a ton of nodes, and knowing what they do is one thing, but knowing how they interact with each other is another thing entirely. It really will just come with practice. If you're lucky, the studio will have a…

I like 2. I think maybe you could add some roots coming off the stump to anchor it down to the map. Right now it feels kind of jammed in there. While I really like 3 I think the glowing floor is too much and would interfere with spell/particle effects during gameplay.
Only problem with that is that the models can't interact with each other in any way. Zsketch will only work on a single tool at a time :( I've done this, but only to use other zpheres as a guide to draw out an armature, but it was really tedious and didn't seam worth while. Probably just better eff defining your masses and…
Man, I can never find freelance Flash work anymore. I must be looking in the wrong places :p Scott, have you looked into things like Papervision3D? Might hit the spot for both your 3D and Flash interests. That'll probably be the biggest growth area for interactive work through the next few years.
I think a lot of companies shy from that high-level destruction because of the gameplay implications it creates. Generally we try to control where the player goes so that we can control the interactions. Allowing them to blow their way through the environment could create more problems then 'fun'. Although, I agree about…
Thanks guys. Already checked those threads out. I can make a hole in the model....the thing I'm having trouble with is the amount of intersecting edge loops which interfere with the symmetry of the circle created. There are 2 hard surface edges which run right through the hole and continue down the frame....which is making…

[ QUOTE ] Well, I'd save time and rotate my cam around the model, render to animation as a sequence of TGAs. [/ QUOTE ] this seems to be the simple way, why not do it like that? (BTW I think pure PINK is the accepted standard for transparent, at least thats what I use when doing sprites for interactive tv and tile maps)
