You're wasting a lot of texture resolution by leaving your lowpoly pieces as separate shells. If you can't see part of the mesh in the final lowpoly you shouldn't have polygons there. This kind of construction also causes problems with lightmaps and other systems in-game.
Not really. Max's system allows for a dynamic origin. Eg. You click/drag on a vert and that becomes the origin for transform/snapping purposes. Maya can't do it dynamically so moving shit around is a lot less fluid and it makes max users sad.
Looks great, but Blender's UV sync system is terrible and so frustrating to work with. There is one excellent addon called UV Highlight that fixes this to be like other 3D programs, but sadly the dev won't be porting to 2.8. This would be such a great addition to your addon.

Will the humanIK system rewrite the skeleton, or keep it the same? Basically, i just want to reapply the same rig to various similar models so i can use the same animtions. Do you have any articles about that kind of rigging scripts?
Maintaining inhouse tools for two apps in two different scripting languages = more work. e/ let's all just use modo, fight the system etc. It genuinely looks like it has more of a future at this point than Max or Maya do.
How many non Unreal engine using studios have their artists building shaders? So far I haven't had to mess with creating shaders on the job and the engines I've worked on did not have any kind of node based shader system.
At work I Polypaint everything. Zbrush mask system is second to non. Both in speed/ iteration, and in quality. Since I don't texture props as one offs, I don't really use Polypaint, but I have seen people use Mari.
Never been done before? You do realize the original purpose of the stock market was exactly this. Crowd funding! Yay... Now we have a new system to corrupt and abuse. But maybe before it is corrupted we will see some interesting things happen :)
