Can you clarify more Noors? I'm applying the modifier to the object, choosing Face...then what? There's no "Apply" button or anything that I can so. What steps am I missing to replicate this?
Veru good modeling! I guess this is due to the work in progress but take care to the specular, some object have a "plastic" look like the wood parts of the shield. Looking forward to the next step ^^
Did some work last night so I may as well start posting. Blocking in the larger parts of armor. Not trying to be 100% accurate, but getting the start of everything in. Staying in Maya for these steps.
UPDATE Topology fully completed! After some feedback I upped the polycount to make her a current gen game char :) C&C of course welcome! Next step is UV unwrapping.

been working on the steps in my spare time lately, finished up a sculpt and have now baked it into a normal map with these results, planning to add more to the normal map such as cracks and such using NDO :)
Might be an idea. Then again, depending on how heavy your highpoly is those steps might be tough on Maya in the sense that it will take forever or seem to freeze. But might be worth a shot. Feeling up to the task? ;)
Update! Started on the rest of the body. Not too sure about the leg anatomy yet, and the hands might just be a tad too big? But yeah, next step will be to do some more on those boots!
Hey Lucas. I took the image into PS and did a quick update. I think that this is looking great. Next step is atmosphere. A bit of DOF, and some dust particulate in the air. Looking great.
