Hmm… Took a look at the Ethan Winters model, specifically his hands, and it looks like those fine directionality lines are present in the albedo texture. So I guess my question for advice still stands.
A Dance with Dragons is merely the fifth book - the last will be the seventh one, A Dream of Spring (with The Winds of Winter inbetween). It might take another ten years, based on how much time was spent on number 4 and 5...
Just picked it up now. Winter's cold steals my steady hands so this should be perfect! Been exploring vector concept work to combat this but vectors have obvious drawbacks compared to raster painting ;')

I wonder if this car would work during the winter for countries like Sweden and the UK?... It looks nice, but I think a lot of these great looking eco friendly things never get past the prototype phase.
